Laverne is using her male privilege, whether intentionally or not. She has done nothing extraordinary yet is hailed as “woman of the year” “feminist icon of the year” and has replaced actual women from the Wikipedia entry for women. Actual women have done plenty of amazing things yet she’s held higher than us and that’s male privilege.
